As Spectrum is also a discussion forum, and the last set of rules pertains to the forum's main, ongoing role play- these guidelines are for..pretty much everything else.
less fancy too!

[/li][li] As stated on the role playing rules, it's important to treat your fellow members with respect. Don't be a jerk to anybody in any way. We're not looking for drama here- we're looking to make friends and have fun, amongst other pokemon nerds!
[/li][li]The site has a fairly open-door activity policy. I know you have lives outside the internet, and they're way more important than this site. However, that being said, I'd appreciate it if you did have some time to post. If you join and NEVER have the time to post...it will make me wonder why you bothered registering in the first place.
[/li][li] Concerning fan art and fan fiction- both pokemon and general, a lot of stuff is allowed. However, please no extreme gore, sex scenes, or anything like that. Let's call this site..Pg-Pg13, alright? Anything that goes above PG-13 is not allowed. Some minor swearing, fine. But put warnings, and no F-bomb please.
[/li][li]If you are having problems with another member, contact ADMIN or ENCOUNTER to deal with it. These are the staff accounts, so please contact us about any issues first before you go dragging other members into it. We'd like to avoid forum drama at all costs, unless said drama is exciting plot devices going on in the role plays.
[/li][li]When role playing in the areas outside of the spectrum category- you may be as relaxed as you like. It is in those role plays that you make your own rules and set your own standards. If you join somebody else's role play, please make sure to abide by their rules.
[/li][li] Don't harass each other over pm to respond to any role play threads- whether inside the Spectrum game or not.
[/li][li]If you want to give criticism on somebody's art, writing, or w/e- PLEASE do so constructively. Understand that, while you may see flaws and find them quite obvious, not everybody views things the same way. Especially the artists/writers, who may be very proud of what they did. Just, please be tactful. There's absolutely no need to be a jerk about it, and if I see you being nasty- you'll be on your way to a warning level, and possibly even a ban. I do not tolerate flaming here. It will not help anybody, and could crush self esteem.
If you are highly sensitive to criticism, I ask you indicate this in your posts- so that we know to either tread around your feelings with our comments, or not comment at all. If you know you would react badly to any criticism, however constructive and nice it was- make sure you let us know.
[/li][li] Don't shove opinions down people's throats. I won't tolerate this that well either.
[/li][li] HAVE FUN. :3
