"Oh, wow! This town is positively gorgeous!" Marina's eyes sparkled with the enthusiasm of a child in a candy store; one who had been told they could pick out anything their heart desired. One hand was delicately placed over her mouth, both thoughtfully and from a state of awe. Johto was the region she had been born and bred in, but Marina couldn't say she'd ever been in Ecruteak before. And if she had, it hadn't been long enough to register just how amazing the city was.
"No wonder they like it so much."
They meaning the three, legendary beasts of Johto; Suicune, Raikou, and Entei. Marina had often heard stories about them when she was a young girl. Fairy tales; ones that almost every child of the Johto region had read to them at night. But, before, Marina hadn't really put much thought into the creatures. They had been exciting bedtime stories, but when she had gotten older, she had mostly put them out of her mind. Other, more important things had come up. Such as training pokemon, entertaining people....admiring men in capes.
But, recent events had made it hard to ignore the legendary beasts. Only a month or so ago, she, her two friends, and that fabulously mysterious man Eusine had gone on quite the whirlwind adventure with one of the beasts.
Well, okay, the men had spent the entire time trying to perform a rescue. Mostly for the creature Raikou, she suspected, though Marina hoped they'd at least been concerned for her safety for a few minutes. Oh, well, they had to be! Who wouldn't have been worried about a pretty, spunky young thing like herself in the clutches of those nasty Rockets? Sure, those creeps hadn't meant to take her along for the ride, but they certainly hadn't been considerate enough to just let her go. Not after she'd been the one to release Raikou. Boy, had the Rockets been pissed. Marina grimaced a little, at the memories. The muscular one sure had been a scary, rough guy. She could almost still feel the rope burns from that encounter.
But, if it happened again, Marina wouldn't have changed a thing. She'd thought Raikou was a dangerous creature at first, but...the way he'd looked at her when she'd found a way to open the door of the carrier. He hadn't glowered at her, hadn't growled like he thought she was there to hurt him. Instead, he had looked at her with a level of concern. Raikou hadn't wanted to leave her behind and alone with those Rockets. That was what he'd been thinking- Marina just knew it.
It was in that moment, that she felt respect for the creatures. She'd become interested in them again, like she had been as a child. Secretly, Marina had wanted to run into Raikou again. Even if it meant that she ran the risk of running into Attilla and Hun again. It would be worth it, totally. Her pokemon were much stronger now, anyway, and she wouldn't be caught off guard this time. So she hoped, more or less.
...But oddly enough, it wasn't for Raikou she had come here, to the town where they supposedly had come from. A few weeks ago, it would have been him, for sure. She hadn't seen Raikou since that encounter, so she hadn't the foggiest where he even was in this wide world.
However, that void had been filled not that long ago. She had run into another one of the legendary beasts; Suicune, to be exact.
That one had been quite the sight. Marina was still blown away by the few encounters she'd had with the creature, and it sure didn't hurt anything that Eusine had never been too far behind.
Marina gave a girly, dreamy sigh at the very thought of that man. Oh sure, Eusine was no Lance- but oh, that cape! So distinguished, so fabulous! She found him completely fascinating, and wanted to get to know him better. It wasn't like she'd had much time for formalities, being held hostage and all. Marina had wanted to ask him so many questions, a lot about the legendary beasts, but...he'd never seemed too eager to engage her. Marina pouted at that. What was his problem? She was cute and nice enough, wasn't she?!
Well, maybe he was just busy...or ignorant, or something. But she'd get him to talk to her- somehow, some way. She had actually hoped to find him here, since she had seen the majestic, blue Suicune speed this way from Olivine. At first, she'd thought maybe Eusine and Suicune had both come and gone, but that couldn't be right. She'd asked the town's gym leader, (a rather cute young man at that), if he knew anything, and he hadn't seen Eusine at all. He hadn't been sure what to say, and had probably been busy, so...he'd pointed her in what Marina assumed was 'the right direction'.
...But she found herself outside a fairly small shop. This couldn't really be it, could it?
"Hellllooo? Anybody home?!"
She never bothered to knock on doors. Why should she, when she could make herself the center of attention with ease?

Click.
It was an odd noise, a dry, sharp sort of clicking sound, much like one that came with unlocking a lock, but with a more organic edge. The sound of chittering followed, and then suddenly, a very large spider dropped from the ceiling on a fine string of webbing.
CLICKCLICKCLICK.
If anything, the Ariados seemed alarmed that Marina had just wandered into it's dwelling, and clicked at her at though chiding. It looked somewhat old, and battle worn, but nonetheless still fairly powerful. Strong enough to defend itself and it's home, anyway.
"Arach, for Arceus' sake!"
That outburst came instead from a woman, older than Marina, with her purple hair pulled back with a Pokeball on a hairclip, retying the short, shopkeep apron around her waist. With her eyes fixed upwards, she didn't seem to notice the girl's prescence at first.
If Marina looked up, she would have noticed the source of the Ariados' irritation. A few tiny Spinarak peered down from the attic opening, from which the much larger spider had emerged.
"Arach, if you'd stop scaring the daylights out of every man, woman, and... oh!"
She seemed rather startled when she finally did notice the girl, instantly switching from her stern maternal disposition to one of utter surprise and demure silence. The Ariados clicked again, once, moodily, before retreating back into the attic, keeping a watchful eye down on the humans below.
"I... am so sorry. Can I help you?"

Marina had grown up in a small town, where things were generally safe, and people hardly locked their doors at night. Just wandering into homes hadn't been an uncommon thing, of course, in New Bark Town, everybody had known each other. Things were quite different elsewhere, but Marina was used to the sentiment. She saw Ecruteak as a small town like her own, and so assumed things were naturally the same. Of course ,her eagerness to be in the limelight spurred some of this on, but she really meant well.
"What on earth?"
Her brows furrowed in confusion and concentration, as the unusual, clicking noise managed to come to her attention. The teenager wasn't sure where it was coming from at first, and then it just started getting louder and louder, and...
And then a giant spider appeared in front of her, clicking even more as it dangled right in front of her face. She leapt back a little, surprised, and had managed to pull out Wani-Wani's pokeball in a matter of seconds. Marina, unlike most girls her age, wasn't afraid of 'creepy', insect pokemon. It had just startled her, that was all.
The spunky young lady regained her composure quickly, lowering the hand with the Feraligator's pokeball as she put the other hand over her chest.
"Well hello there! You sure gave me a scare!"
She gave a good-natured chuckle at that, not really paying attention to the obvious signs the pokemon was agitated. She was just starting to begin registering the fact, when she got distracted again. Apparently, somebody was home. Wonderful! She watched the older woman chide the spider pokemon for a moment, and things started to get a little more clear. Marina glanced back to Arach, and almost cooed at what she saw in the attack. Oh, those tiny little spinirak were sooooooo adorable!
"Oh, I'm sorry m'aam, I didn't mean to bother you!"
Finally, Beryl noticed her. Marina felt her face flushing with color a little, as she realized she'd startled the woman in silence. Maybe she shouldn't have been so impulsive, and should have knocked.
"Morty pointed me toward you. He said you should be able to help me, with some information I'm looking for."
Realizing she was still clutching onto Wani-wani's pokeball, Marina quickly shoved it back into the pocket of her pink and white jacket, not wanting to seem like she was raring for a battle or anything.
"But I can come back, if this is a bad time?"

"Well, no... I am open."
A vague gesture towards the sign hanging outside the door, visible through the window. The woman paused again, looking the girl over quickly, then shaking her head. The younger trainer didn't seem to be in any dire need of her antidotes, or anything of the such, and Beryl was unsure as to why Morty would have pointed her in the direction of the poison-type trainer's shop.
"I'm not sure what you'd like to know. You don't seem to be in need of anything I have to offer, so I'm not quite sure what Morty was thinking... what was your name?"
The girl hadn't said it, she was sure, but Beryl wanted to know regardless. Perhaps she could use it later, when she apologized to Morty for not being able to help the girl he'd sent her way for no apparent reason. Goodness knew, she already had more than enough unexpected visitors she couldn't - or in some cases, wouldn't - help.
Arach clicked and chittered moodily up in the attic, the tiny Spinarak joining in with a slightly squeakier unison. She cast something of a patient glance upwards at them until they had all settled down, looking back to the girl. Otherwise, Beryl hadn't moved.

Marina stared at the spiders in the attic for a few minutes longer, interested in their habits. She was listening to Beryl as well, but she wanted to make sure the arachnid pokemon weren't going to attack, or anything. She had been oblivious for several minutes there, but now she was starting to figure it out. Ditzy as she could be from time to time, Marina was not stupid. She now knew the spider likely was being protective over its young, and she was a stranger in this place.
"Oh, wonderful!"
That was directed toward the mention the shop was open, though she hadn't even noticed the sign at first. She wouldn't tell Beryl that though, as it was probably fairly obvious she hadn't looked at it already. No sense beating around the bush on that one.
"I'm Marina. And you are?"
Though he had directed her to the shop, Morty hadn't exactly been forthcoming on the details. Marina couldn't really blame him though, as he was likely a very busy man. She'd seemed pretty rushed herself, now that she thought about it.
Marina's smile had dissolved a little at this point, as Beryl appeared to be at a loss as to why Morty had directed her this way. She was starting to feel like this was 'passing the burden'. That perhaps Morty hadn't wanted to deal with her, and had simply shoved her the other way so that she'd be somebody else's problem. But...no, no, he wasn't like that, right? He hadn't really acted that way, as far as she recalled. Besides, she hadn't even said why she was here. Maybe she just needed to explain why she was here to the other woman ,and things would become clear.
"Well, I was hoping to run into Eusine here. I could have sworn I saw Suicune, but....maybe I was mistaken. Morty told me you'd have plenty to say about the subject? Maybe i went to the wrong house..."
She looked embarrassed at the thought, though she really wasn't. But, how silly she'd look, if she'd gone to the wrong place!

A blank expression, at first, then one of slight mirth. Beryl uttered a faint laugh, hand covering her mouth tentatively.
"He sent you here for Eusine?"
A return of the furious clicking, the larger of the spider Pokemon half-emerging from the trapdoor to the attic, adding a few loud hisses to the clicks. The Spinarak retreated, squealing in distress at their sire's upset. The woman looked up again, hands placed on her hips in another chiding sort of demeanor. Old age certainly wasn't improving her partner Pokemon's mood.
"Oh, Arach, calm down. He isn't even here anymore."
Oh, Arceus, no. She'd meant to stop just before that anymore. Without Jasper around, Beryl had begun to slip into something of a comfortable routine of visitors. Aster, 'her son', was most common. Morty himself dropped in from time to time, between his busy life at the Gym and time to himself. Eusine was more of a chance visit, and the woman still had no idea as to why he even bothered.
"I'm so sorry, Marina. My name is Beryl, I'm a pharmacist, antidotes in particular. I'd thought Morty had sent you for one, or with a sick Pokemon."
A simple explanation. It happened somewhat often, if a challenger to his gym came away with Pokemon badly poisoned from his dual type Gastlys, Haunters, and Gengars. Some even mistook her for the pharmacist in Cianwood, and came to her for his famous 'SecretPotions'.
But no one had ever come to her looking for Eusine before.

Marina tilted her head inquisitively, uncertain why that was so funny. But, that didn't weigh on her mind for very long. Her own confusion turned to excitement, mostly from the fact the woman now seemed to understand at least something about what she needed. That was a good sign! Laughter or not, the way she'd said his named indicated that she did indeed know him, and that was good enough for Marina.
"He did."
She merely nodded, though her smile started to come back at the prospect of potentially getting the information she wanted. The spider, Arach as it was apparently called, started clicking again- and Marina cast a wary eye in the Ariados's direction, uncertain what was agitating him this time. She felt a little bad for the little spinirak, the frightened way they were fleeing.
Then, the lady said something even more strange. Anymore? Was she talking about Eusine? Marina gave a great big groan at the thought. Internally, anyway. Wouldn't that just be her luck? Eusine had probably just been in town, and here, and had dashed off into the sunset before she'd even stepped foot here. Typical!
"It's nice to meet you, Beryl! And ooh, you make medicines?"
She could see why Beryl had been confused at first. Yes, that made sense now too. How would she feel, if she were a pharmacist, and some kid came bursting in demanding information? Well, she didn't really know, she guessed. Because she was going to be a big star some day! And get the chance to partner up with Lance, and then..Oh, that wasn't what this visit was about! Marina chided herself internally, telling herself to focus on the task at hand.
"I'd love to buy some though, if you sell them normally!"
Marina couldn't be sure if she did. A lot of pokemarts didn't question what you wanted, and let you buy whatever from their stock. As long as they got paid. Beryl's confused reaction seemed kind of like she was a specialist. Well, she'd said she was in antidotes, but the kind like the one on Cianwood island she'd heard about. Some people who made medicines only gave them out under certain circumstances, and she didn't know whether Beryl was one of them or not. If she was, well then that was just fine. If she wasn't, Marina intended to buy some supplies in order to make up for barging in. She needed it, anyway. While she participated in contests from time to time, she also still battled- and there was no way she'd ever breathe the same air as Lance if she didn't have tough pokemon, so of course she was raising a formidable battle team as well!
Contests only did so much, anyway. Battle was something different. They both had things to love, but she wanted to be strong as much as she wanted to be famous and adored. Then the next time she and her friends were in a mess, she would be the one saving them and not the damsel in distress.
"But anyway, yes. I've been looking for Eusine lately. He's supposed to be an expert on Johto's myths, and I realllllly need to talk to him, but he never sits still long enough to have a conversation! Plus, I never got a chance to thank him for helping rescue me from those Rocket goons. Oh, you should have seen him, Beryl! So dashing, so elegant in that cape!"
She nearly swooned at the thought of the cape there. Her mind saw fit to remind her Eusine had really not been the one to rescue her- that had been Jimmy, that dear sweet, boy she knew liked her and she him...but, oh well, Eusine must have helped somewhere along the way. He'd had a car, he probably gave them a ride.
And even if he hadn't cared a lick about her being in distress, and had only gone along to save Raikou, Marina would forgive him..Because either way, he sure knew how to dress.

"I do... they're more for Pokemon of a certain type or species, but if you know what you're going to need..."
It was the easiest way to describe what she did. People often became confused when they came to her, but they generally came to understand after some explanation. Even non-Poison type Pokemon carried toxins, and many times it was these toxins that instigated paralysis or sleep.
"You can always come back and exchange an unused one for another."
Raising a brow, coming to the comments about the man in question. One of the tiny Spinarak snuck past it's father and came down to balance precautiously on the crook of her arm, trilling in a tiny, almost scared sort of way. Beryl stroked the little thing under it's chin, prompting an instant change in noise; a happy, chittering one replace the squeaking.
"I'm... sure he was perfectly charming."
He was that, at least. The faintest coloring accompanied that statement, if only for the fact that talking nicely about or to Eusine still flustered her from past animosity. In a way, it could have been because she feared Jasper's reaction when or if he discovered just how cordial she was being with his 'rival', of sorts. But, turning her thoughts from one obsessed man to another, Beryl bit her lip, still tickling the Spinarak under it's tiny chin.
"But he doesn't come here very often, if at all. Have you tried the Burned Tower?"
There, she knew, Eusine could sometimes be found. Arach seemed to notice the man there in the middle of the spider's own hunting, judging from the way the Ariados clicked to itself when it returned, Eusine sometimes not too long behind in showing up. Sometimes. She sighed, inwardly. Why did Morty simply assume his friend was here, or that she would know where the man was?

"Hmmm. Well, I have a Feraligator, Jigglypuff, and a Misdreavus." The truth was, she really didn't know what it was she needed. Marina could be pretty sharp when it came to pokemon types at times, but stuff like this...Well, she didn't really know much about. She was just like any average trainer-buying what the stores offered, and trusting that the vendor wasn't ripping her off or anything.
"That's true. I guess I really don't know what I need."
A childish giggle at the very thought. Oh well, it didn't bother her that much. Either Beryl could fill her in, based on the description of her current party, or she could do an exchange as suggested. One way or another, things would work out. Marina wasn't too worried about that at the moment.
"Aww, it's so cuuute!" Marina clasped her hands together, endeared by the sight of the baby spider. She had thought Jimmy's weedle, and even his Beedrill were adorable and worth being friends with, so what harm was a spider? It was cute, especially that little chittering noise it made. Marina wondered if arachnid pokemon were what Beryl specialized in. She sure had enough of them in her shop!
"Oh he was," Marina agreed. "He sure is passionate about the myths of the region."
No duh. Marina had started to see quite the obsessed side from him, as far as Suicune was concerned. It was a little unusual, given it was different than when they'd met Raikou. Eusine had been excited then, but able to keep his composure. Around Suicune, he made some changes. Some that were a little more disconcerting with others, but...she didn't want to use the word 'obsessed' around somebody else who knew him. She wasn't sure if that would offend Beryl or not, so she wouldn't risk it just yet.
Besides, it wasn't like she could be so nitpicky. Such a word could be connected to how she felt about men in capes, and had. By Jimmy, of course.
"Oh."
This time, she sounded disappointed. Was Eusine really so hard to figure out? Maybe, she could see it. But maybe this was an effort to avoid her as well. If that were the case, she'd be just a little put out. She thought about what Beryl said, and about the burned tower.
"No, I guess I haven't. I could look, I suppose. But if he's not there, then..I just don't know what to do!"
She looked around the shop a few times, as if she suspected Eusine could be hiding behind any little thing, then finally seemed to convince herself that Beryl was not keeping her from him.
" It's about Suicune too," she added. "So I know he'd want to hear it. Maybe."

"Hmph...." The red headed Silver thought as he stormed over to a store that supposedly sold high class antidotes. He felt slightly embarrassed that he had, had to ask one of the civilians at Ecruteak. Even though they probably had no idea who he was he had to apparently, show how strong his pokemon were.
The fact that his pokemon had gotten poisoned so easily from the last battle made him curse their weakness. But at the same time he felt quite victorious from being able to stomp down the poor beginning trainer.
He wondered where the young boy got the effrontery to actually challenge him like that. Silver actually felt what one could consider a feeling close to 'joy' at the sight of the boy's failure. Although his trademark scowl had not left his face.
It was a relief to him that the store was open when he glanced down at the sign. He walked in and regardless of the fact that two girls were talking he immediately interrupted them by slamming down money on the table.
"Five antidotes..." his voice trailed off as he the words 'Eusine' and 'Suicune' caught his attention.
Silver turned around and noted that the person before him was Marina. Of course, a familiar face. He had seen her more than once with Jimmy and they had also had their own encounters. He did not say a word to her. He thought it now worth his breath. Although there had to be some way that he could listen in on the conversation, but now that he had so rashly intruded it was going to be somewhat of a hard task.
Although he would have never thought of helping out he decided to divulge some information for the sake of being around to listen to it.
"You looking for Eusine, Marina," he said actually referring to her by her name. "I saw him...yesterday."
His eyes remained cold as he awaited her answer.

Beryl had been just about to say something when the redheaded, surly looking boy suddenly marched into her shop and demanded - not asked, demanded - antidotes without so much as a greeting or any nicety. Normally, she would elaborate, would explain how her antidotes worked, like she had with Marina, but the newcomer's rude mannerisms and his interrupting of the conversation to speak to the younger girl threw her off. The Spinarak on her arm squealed and darted under the counter, startled.
When he mentioned seeing Eusine, however, she bit her lip and retreated into silence, turning away from the two younger people to fetch five of her generic antidotes. Clearly, she would be of no further help there. But she would certainly have a talk with Morty, if so many people seemed to come to her shop just to talk about Eusine.
Arach started clicking again, this time goaded on not only by a new prescence in his home, but by Beryl's sudden off mood. The large spider emerged from the attic door again, this time climbing along the ceiling to a wall, and finally meeting the ground near his trainer's side. He looked much bigger on the floor than he did above everyone's heads.

Oh Arceus no. Him? Him? What was he doing here?! Well, okay, he obviously lived in and wandered around the Johto region, but still...Marina, friendly and bubbly as she was, couldn't say that she was too thrilled to see Silver, of all people, here. Eusine not being here had been disappointing enough, but at least Beryl was a nice lady. Marina liked her, already.
Silver was....well, Marina wasn't sure he had a friendly bone in his body. For some reason, he reminded her a lot of Atilla and Hun- probably because of his attitude, and the way he treated his pokemon. But, at least somebody else was here to share her 'pain' of having to deal with him. And, even though they'd met before- long enough for him to call her weak, dumb, and her whole idol thing worthless- Marina was grateful she'd not encountered him as much as Jimmy. She really pitied him, and wasn't sure how he could stand it. Maybe he just kicked Silver's butt every time- yeah, that had to be it. She smirked at the thought.
Still, she might as well at least try to be polite. She wasn't like him, not at all.
"Where?! You've got to tell me, this is important!"
....Okay, so that was probably a little too excited. But, the second Silver had mentioned Eusine, she'd forgotten all about his attitude long enough to spazz out. She regretted it instantly afterward, knowing how the boy was. Biting her lower lip, she looked away from Silver. She couldn't stand that piercing, ice-cold gaze of his. Instead, she looked over at Beryl, watching her leave with a 'please don't leave me alone with this jerk!' expression.
"Ecruteak might be in danger!" she finally blurted out, to the both of them, always the center of attention. But, she also wanted Beryl to stick around, and thought she could be of some use here. "I don't know how long I can stick around here...and if you see him, maybe you can deliver the message, Beryl? Or tell Morty! He was too busy to see me for long."
So he'd claimed, anyway.

((I love the usage of Arceus XDD It's so funny. Oh my Arceus XD))
Silver watched as the girl went off to get him the antidote. He noted the amount of Spinarak and Ariados that were crawling around her shop and he did not even try hiding his disgusted look. He did not care how 'cute' they were. He believed that she should have kept her shop more clear of these 'weak' creatures and maybe put them in a pen or something if she really did prefer keeping them.
Oh well, he really was not going to argue with her about that right now. He noted that she was somewhat uncomfortable about what they were talking about for some reason or another.
Silver turned to Marina once more as she started showing excitement at his mention of Eusine's name. He was really, really trying not to get annoyed by her bubbly personality. It had already caused him to blow up several time before and he was sure that she probably remembered.
"Y-yes...yesterday morning on my way here to Ecruteak," he said in monotone. "Something about the the Northen Wind and Mt. Mortar...He's probably passed this city already, though."
Silver hoped that Marina did not catch on to the fact that he was being more 'kind' than usual. Honestly, it was hard for him too. His eyes remained ever cold and piercing. She was saying what he wanted to hear, but now he probably had to deal with her if he actually went to Mt. Mortar. Unless if Eusine had already left there too.
"Hmph...I don't think you're up for it." he insulted. "If it really is as important as you say."

Fortunately for Marina, the older woman didn't go far for the generic antidotes. They were on a shelf nearby, in fact, kept readily available for those in a hurry, or like Silver, who simply didn't seem to care. At the girl's insistence of danger and Eusine having to know about it, Beryl raised a brow in a slight way. Morty would have hardly turned her away if the girl had insisted it was important, busy or not. That was... strange. And why did everyone seem to think she was Eusine or Morty's keeper, for Arceus' sake?
"He... did mentioned something of Mortar."
At least she comfirmed the boy's statement, though in all honesty, when Eusine got on the topic of Suicune's whereabouts, he got... a little too excited. It sometimes wound up with the man getting too carried away and rambling his elated knowledge to whoever happened to be closer, and yesterday, that had been Beryl. She counted the money that Silver had slammed on the counter, sliding whatever change was left back across the table to him, along with the antidotes. As rude as he was being, she wasn't the type for petty revenge.
Arach perhaps sensing something of Silver's dislike, clicked and hissed, the poisonous barbs on his back bristling. Beryl shushed him, holding her arm out as if to prevent the spider from rushing forward. He quieted, but the barbs remained propped in a ready position.

Yeesh, Silver sure was creepy. Marina couldn't help but frown a little as she watched him, taking note of the apathetic tone of voice and expression he was giving her. Just what game was he playing here? It surprised her enough that he was actually cooperating for once, though she wondered if he was really giving her truthful information or not. Heck, maybe he was just trying to trick her to go running off to the mountain so he could attempt to cream her pokemon in private, or call her all sorts of insulting things behind her back by sending her on a wild goose chase.
She didn't really like it, his attitude. But then again, Marina didn't think many people did. And, unlike with Atilla, Marina was Silver's size. He'd try his hardest to look down on her and everybody else, but she wasn't going to let him make her feel small. She refused to let him win, at that!
Her expression grew more sour for a moment, as Silver implied that she wasn't up to the task at all. Really? Despite the danger she was trying to preach, it wasn't exactly rocket science to make it to Mt Mortar and deliver a message. What a jerk!
Deciding she'd try and take the high road here, and not give Silver the pleasure of upsetting her, Marina's managed a cocky smirk.
"Oh yeah? Well, I think you're wrong Silver, and I can prove it!"
She always did love a challenge that presented the opportunity to showcase her talents.
"But, thanks for the info," Marina added as an afterthought. She wasn't going to be a complete jerk here, and besides, it might annoy Silver if she acted like he didn't ruffle her feathers at all.
Then, Beryl spoke again. Grateful, the blue-haired teenager immediately spun on her heels to look over at the older woman. Oh, so Silver wasn't lying or playing her for a fool or anything? She was surprised a little, she had to say.
"So he was here!"
Marina wondered why Beryl hadn't said anything before, but maybe Eusine wanted his whereabouts kept secret, unless it was an emergency. Yeah, that was probably it! And Beryl was just being a good friend, trying to keep him safe.
She was about to ask Beryl to come with her, to mention something about why she was here, when she noticed Arach acting threateningly toward Silver. Oh, this wasn't good! She hoped Silver wasn't going to behave as usual, and turn his wrath on poor Beryl and her pokemon!
